The FLUQO app

The app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It does not connect to any server of mine. Your progress, settings and statistics stay on your iPhone. They are deleted when you delete the app, although iPhone backups you make may still contain them.

The Privacy Policy and Support entries in the app open this website in your browser. The section on this website then applies.

When you use Share

Only when you tap Share on the Statistics screen does the app prepare a short text and open the iPhone's share sheet. You choose where the text goes, and the rules of that destination then apply. I only receive the text if you send it to me.

The text contains:

It contains no name, no account, device or advertising identifier, no device model or iOS version, no location and no timestamps.

Apple

Once FLUQO is available in the App Store, Apple handles downloads and any purchases. Apple (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Cork, Ireland) is itself responsible for this, and Apple's privacy policy applies. I receive no payment details and no buyer names from Apple, only summarised figures such as download and sales numbers.

If you have agreed in your iPhone settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple also passes me crash reports and summarised usage data, without your name. I use them only to find and fix errors (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you are personally invited to test an early version through Apple's TestFlight, Apple shows me the name and email address used for the invitation, your basic test activity, crash reports and any feedback you send. I use this only to run the test (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

This website

This website runs on the servers of STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, which processes the data on my behalf.

When you open a page, the server automatically records:

This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). STRATO states that log data is kept for a few days up to a maximum of 60 to 90 days, depending on operational and security needs. I can view the logs of the last six weeks. I also use them, in summarised form only, to see how many visits the website gets and which pages are read (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I build no profiles and do not combine the logs with other data.

The website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and has no analytics tools in its pages, no advertising pixels and no forms. Fonts and videos come from the same server, not from third parties. Links to other websites only take effect when you click them, and those websites' own rules then apply.

Emails to support

If you write to me, I process your email address, your message and anything else you include, in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for questions about the product, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The support mailbox is also hosted by STRATO GmbH (see above), which processes the emails on my behalf.

I delete support emails no later than 12 months after our last message, or earlier if you ask me to, unless the law requires me to keep them.

Do you have to provide data?

No. Without the server logs, however, the website cannot be delivered, and without an email address I cannot reply to you.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing and to receive it in a portable format (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR). To use these rights, just write to support@fluqo.eu.

Right to object: You can object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). I will then stop that processing unless I can show compelling legitimate grounds for it.

You may also complain to a data protection authority. The one responsible for me is: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.

I do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Changes

I update this page when something changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
